Classical guitars are special. They have nylon strings set with comparatively high actions on wide necks and produce a soft, mellow sound when strummed and bright, accented notes when picked. I’ve chosen to build the Hauser 1973 Segovia, a well-known style, truly a “classical” classical guitar.
Typical Configuration
- Hauser 1973 Segovia style
- Indian Rosewood back and sides
- Western Red Cedar top
- Honduran Mahogany neck
- Ebony fretboard
- Gotoh tuners
- Ebony bridge
- Traditional French polishing is used for the finish
